The Annual General Meeting plans are coming together for this summer!

The Board is currently planning on having a members’ barbeque, potluck, and local brew to start the evening off. Great ideas from the Car Co-operative Conference in March will be discussed, along with many important topics such as proposed fee structure changes. Enter to win a prize of 100 km free from the CCE!
Investigating a Norwood / Alberta Avenue Car
We are in the process of investigating a new car or small truck in the Norwood and Alberta Avenue area. In order to decide if it will work, we need to know how many people would be likely to join.

Edmonton Journal Article: U of A Car Share
Hertz and the University of Alberta have teamed up to provide short term car rentals on campus to share. The journalist also interviewed one of the CarSharing Cooperative of Edmonton Board members, who explains the difference between the U of A program and our car cooperative.

Meet and Greet, February 8, 2010
The Carsharing Co-operative of Edmonton will be hosting a Meet and Greet on Monday, February 8th, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, at Ceili’s Irish Pub (10338 – 109 St) for all current members and for anyone interested in joining the CCE.
With so many new members this past year, we should come together and get to know each other! So much has been going on with the co-op lately– come hear what’s in store for 2010. This is also the perfect opportunity to bring along a friend who has been keen to learn about how the co-op works and how to join, or to come and meet CCE members if you’ve been thinking about joining.
Enjoy a chat around the fireplace, sip a tall beverage, talk about the all the money you’ve saved by being in the car co-op, play some darts, eat some amazing perogies, and other good things.
Optional: The Garneau car will shuttle people over departing at 6:30 and 6:45. The Oliver car will shuttle people over at 6:45.
